Intro.     How would you define a disciple of Jesus Christ?

 

How is a hypocrite different than a disciple (Matthew 6:8)?

 

The beatitudes describe 8 character traits of a disciple that are blessed. What do you think it means to be blessed?

 

1.         How can someone cultivate a dependant spirit (Matthew 5:3)? How are the poor in spirit blessed?

 

2.         Why do you think people don’t mourn over their sins (Matthew 5:4)?

 

3.         In what ways is it more difficult to be humble than proud (Matthew 5:5)?
