Hope for Freedom

Jesus came to set people free from everything that keeps them from God's purpose for their lives. In the ministry of Jesus, he set people free of sicknesses and demons. In this message, we look at an example of Jesus delivering a boy from a tormenting spirit and see how Jesus can set people free today. If you are struggling with an addiction or a negative habit, God wants you to walk in freedom.

Galatians 5:1 (NIV) It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Luke 4:18 (NIV) "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,

Mark 9:17a (NIV) A man in the crowd answered, "Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit …”

1A. Satan seeks to ____________ freedom

Mark 9:17b (NIV) … possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech.

Mark 9:18a (NIV) Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid.
